Mackenzie grew up in Brookhaven, Mississippi, a charming and quaint community just outside of Jackson. She attended Brookhaven High School, graduating third in her class and earning a spot in the Academic Hall of Fame. In high school, Mackenzie participated in tennis, cross country, yearbook, and speech and debate. Her love for reading and writing led her to become the proud recipient of the Frances Seavey English Award.
After high school, Mackenzie attended Mississippi State University, majoring in English with minors in Pre-Law and Spanish. Mackenzie is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, where she served as Worship Night Chair and SET Leader for the Delta Omega Chapter. At MSU, Mackenzie was honored to receive an invitation to join Phi Beta Kappa. Her love for travel took her to Spain to complete her minor in Spanish. Mackenzie spent much of her free time in Starkville at Dudy Noble Field cheering on the Diamond Dawgs. She graduated magna cum laude in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts.
Mackenzie then attended Mississippi College School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2024. During law school, Mackenzie participated in the Women’s Student Bar Association, the Christian Legal Society, and the Family Law Association. She was selected to be a Dean’s Ambassador. Mackenzie spent her summers interning for Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith of the United States Senate, Presiding Justice Jim Kitchens of the Mississippi Supreme Court, and Judge David McCarty of the Mississippi Court of Appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Mackenzie completed a clerkship with Justice T. Kenneth Griffis of the Mississippi Supreme Court.
Mackenzie joined the firm in 2025. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Blake, who is also an attorney. Mackenzie and Blake attend Rock Creek Church. Mackenzie makes frequent trips south to see her family and friends, and she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, playing tennis, and baking. Mackenzie is admitted to practice in both Mississippi and Arkansas.
